With Spring around the corner, growing vegetation left unattended may grow into the right of way and could lead to sidewalk hazards. Residents are required to regularly trim their trees and bushes that front sidewalks. Vegetation that becomes overgrown and encroaches into the public right-of-way becomes a hindrance for pedestrians and can obstruct their path of travel.
Trees fronting sidewalks should be trimmed to maintain a minimum of 8-feet vertical clearance and should be trimmed in a manner that provides visibility of stop signs and other traffic signs.

Above: A hidden stop sign, long tree branches, and bush vegetation obstruct paths and views.
