Notice of March 7, 2023 Special Municipal Election (PDF)
Election Result:
On March 24, 2023, after a successful election, the County’s Registrar of Voters certified the Special Municipal Election results and it was determined that Caroline Joachim (with a total of 2,209 votes) was elected to serve on the Mill Valley City Council. At their meeting on Monday, April 3, 2023 (LINK), the Mill Valley City Council adopted a Resolution approving and declaring the results of the March 7, 2023 Special Municipal Election, and conducted a swearing-in ceremony for newly elected Councilmember Caroline Joachim. Directly after the City Council adopted the Resolution, the City Clerk administered the Oath of Office as prescribed by the Constitution of the State of California and Councilmember Joachim took her seat at the dais. Councilmember Joachim is filling the seat left empty when Sashi Sabaratnam resigned, therefore Councilmember Joachim's term will end in 2024.
