Concerts in the Plaza

Call for Musical Artists 2018 

The Mill Valley Arts Commission will host outdoor concerts on the Downtown Plaza on each Sunday in August from 3pm-5pm. Some concerts will include performances from 2 musical artists and others will include performances from 1 musical artist.

Concerts will be held on the Mill Valley Downtown Plaza, which is a public open-air Plaza in the City center surrounded by local retail shops and restaurants. Sound system, audio technician and event publicity will be provided by the Arts Commission.

Each selected artist/group will receive a $500 payment on the day of the concert.

All interested musical artists are encouraged to apply. Performers need to be able to play at least one 45 - 60 minute set. Please note that in order to provide the widest opportunity for local musicians, those performers who participated in the 2017 Concerts on the Plaza will not be eligible for the 2018 series.

Please complete the Musical Artist Submission Form and submit it with any promotional information that the artist wishes to include along with the$20 submission fee by Tuesday, March 6th at 5pm.

Once your submission form and payment is processed you will receive an email from artscommission@cityofmillvalley.org with upload instructions to send in at least 3 of your musical selections. **Please note - music must be submitted via upload, no CDs or Flash drives will be accepted.
