We offer a wide variety of programs and classes for adults at Mill Valley Recreation & Community Center. Courses range from movement and exercise to art and special interest.
This division also provides activities and services that meet the needs of mature adults in the community and seeks to assist them in maintaining healthy and independent lives through programs that enrich the body, mind and spirit. These needs include exercise classes, bridge, art, guest speakers, day and extended trips and various activities. In the past, these activities were part of the Tuesday Club program. While the Tuesday Club remains, the opening of the Terrace Room in the Community Center has enabled the City to expand activities beyond the Tuesday Club. A comfortable setting five days per week for a wider age spectrum is now ongoing.
Social interaction, special interest group meetings, a variety of activities and health and legal services are provided. In recent years, we have expanded our Mature Adult Program with activities for the 50 & Better younger senior set and we look forward to increasing activities for younger Baby Boomers in FY 16-18.
